Meet Susan Mellott Dolan and learn about her philosophies in her new book, “10 Men and a Miracle: Pope John Paul II’s Phenomenological Miracle” (published by AuthorHouse).
The Merriam-Webster dictionary defines phenomenology as “the study of the development of human consciousness and self-awareness as a preface to or a part of philosophy.” Dolan has written a book outlining what she refers to as Pope John Paul II’s “phenomenological miracle.”
Dolan claims that she was called upon by unseen forces to write “10 Men and a Miracle”:
I was told it was the book of phenomenology I wanted to write. I was
told it was written in a way all would understand and all they needed to
know of phenomenology. I was told to give it to a few Clergy and tell
them what they would be upon the bringing of it to the Vatican. I had
heard to place this and the poem entitled Emmaus at the end of this
phenomenological heard novel of Pope John Paul II of phenomenology to
have been some desire, Truth as divinely given.
Chapters in “10 Men and a Miracle” include “The court underwear,” “Hair pins of her,” “Mercy is the ever coming lord and never in all my life had I seen it as this” and “Whores to the core.”
Whores seem to be of particular interest to Dolan and are mentioned throughout the book. She writes:
He had all the respect of the whore that Jesus had come to save or that
one who had the vacuum in her hand afterward as he had to go home to the
fortune that had him creaming all the way home as all had when they went
to those places, as naughty men had, and took all to the core of it and
all went, as all eternity had come to bring honor to them as that and
they went the way of the father had and all had and came to pass that
they had wanted it to be the way it was and as it gained momentum, taught
their daughter’s of the way it was as passing out the condoms at the
dinner table after meals and all spoke of the god they knew. It was the
way for the years preceding the war. It had come. They lay aside the
core of them to see what was the matter and whore it in the core of them
and the basket grew at Church as the greater knew.
Susan Mellott Dolan refers to herself as “the miracle of John Paul II.” She is currently researching another novel in Ohio and plans to visit Duquesne University in the fall of 2008 “to bring phenomenology to our Clergy and nation.” It is her greatest wish that her writing reach the Pope. “10 Men and a Miracle: Pope John Paul II’s Phenomenological Miracle” is her first book.
