Vin Diesel has confirmed that the latest film in the “Fast & Furious” series will have long delays due to the tragic crash and death of Paul Walker, playing the lead role in the series.
Vin Diesel posted on Facebook a photo with former colleague and friend Paul Walker, in which lets his fans know that Fast & Furious 7 will be released on April 10, 2015.
The movie was scheduled to be released on July 11, 2014, but the death of Paul Walker (Brian O’Connor) changed all the plans for those from Universal.
There has been much speculation about the character O’Connor had to play, many have said that Justin Bieber will be appearing in the film, but Vin Diesel has denied everything. It looks like the studio that produces the film will bring Cody, Paul Walker’s brother because of the similarity between the two.
Cody is a stuntman by profession and has also roughly the same facial features as his brother. Manufacturers will use him for the most distant image and then will add the Paul Walker’s face using GCI (computer-generated imagery) for close-ups.
A few days after the accident, Universal studios have suspended filming for the new movie of the franchise.
The films in the “Fast & Furious” series starring Paul Walker and Vin Diesel got together grossed over $2 billion worldwide, is one of the two successful franchises, along with “Despicable Me” who helped Universal studios have a positive balance sheet.
