John MacArthur Study Bible is wrong on Israel and the Antichrist claims author

Anthony Maiolo has released a new book refuting the Eschatology of John MacArthur’s Study Bible, and he says that it’s guaranteed to shed light on the most misunderstood topics of the Bible. “The Truth About The Last Days” reveals information about God, The Bible, Prophecy, Israel, the Church, the Antichrist, the Rapture, the Tribulation and more.

In his view, there are so many Bible teachers in the media and churches who spread falsehoods about these issues. Anthony Maiolo feels that you need to arm yourself with the real meaning of these End Time prophecies.

Tearing Down False Interpretations

Throughout the read, Maiolo goes through Dispensationalist arguments and tears down much of what is, in his view, unfortunately taught in churches all across America. Traditionally, Dispensationalists believe that there are two Second Comings of Christ seven years apart, one for His Church and one for His judgment of unbelievers. They also believe Christ will reign on Earth for one thousand years after He returns. They also believe the Rapture will occur before the seven year tribulation and that the Jewish temple must be rebuilt with literal Jewish sacrifices taking place. Crazy conclusions come from these Dispensationalist doctrines such as Christian believers having unbelievers as their slaves during a literal thousand years, continuous repetitive Temple sacrifices in a rebuilt Temple, and a rebellion at the End of the thousand year reign, resulting in another Judgment seat of Christ.

How is John MacArthur’s Study Bible incorrect about Israel?

Anthony Maiolo believes that the John MacArthur Study Bible erroneously teaches that the fulfillment of God’s land promise to Abraham will occur during Christ’s millennial reign on earth. However, the Promised Land was occupied by Israel after Caleb and Joshua entered the Promise Land.

Deuteronomy 1:8 is God speaking “…I have given you this land. Go in and take possession of the land that the LORD swore he would give to your fathers—to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob—and to their descendants after them.”

Who is Israel acording to the Apostle Paul?

Anthony Maiolo says that Paul teaches clearly in Galatians that “the Israel of God” is the Church, the body of believers in Jesus, and not only Jewish believers. There are not two different classes of people when Christian believers, whether Jewish or Gentile, are “all one in Christ.” In the book of Romans, the Apostle Paul states that Gentiles are grafted into Israel, and there is only one olive tree.

“The Truth About the Last Days” Gives An Intellectually Honest Interpretation of These Bible Passages.

Written from a common sense and textually consistent approach, Anthony Maiolo says that he stays true to the Biblical author’s intent, such as the popular Daniel 9 prophecy about the Messiah. You will be shocked to see how much incorrect information is in the John MacArthur Study Bible. It’s dishonest to take a passage that refers to the Messiah, Christ, and make it refer to a future Antichrist!

”The Truth About The Last Days” will answer many interesting questions such as the age old question, Who is the AntiChrist in Revelations?

The book also examines whether the Last Days apostasy has already been fulfilled by the Roman Church. Does the Papacy sit as God in the temple of God (the church)? Will animal sacrifices really be made by a future Antichrist? Will there be a conversion of Israel to Christianity and a thousand-year golden age on Earth? Maiolo’s book opines on the truth of Daniel 9, verse by verse, so that, in Anthony Maiolo’s view, you will not be deceived again by all the hype and babble in the media about the AntiChrist. Become informed about the most mysterious parts of the Bible and have a better focus on the most important things of faith and good works.

Anthony Maiolo received his graduate theological training at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in Boston at the Center of Urban Ministerial Education (CUME).
