4J Studios just tweeted the picture above showing some of what will be in Minecraft Xbox 360 TU12 Update.
Major Minecraft Xbox 360 TU12 Update
Apart from the expected additions ranging from Jungle Biome to Iron Golem, they have confirmed that Upside Down Slabs will be included in the next update as well.
The code to flip stairs and slabs is essentially the same so it would make zero sense to have one and not the other.
We can confirm based on the picture that we aren’t getting the “smart steps” that auto-conform to corners.
If we were they surely would have shown it on the corner of the house’s roof.
Some of us would like to know if we are getting redstone updates that allow for redstone over glowstone and upside down slabs. Those features are pretty important redstone updates.
Again, we would presume so based on the presence of the redstone lamps (since they were in the same update) but maybe not.
Confirmed Minecraft Xbox 360 TU12 Update Features So Far
Jungle BiomeA very dense, tropical biome. It features large jungle trees that can reach up to 31 blocks tall with 2×2 trunks. Oak trees are also common.
The landscape is lush green and quite hilly, with many small lakes of water often nestled into deep valleys, sometimes above sea level.
Leaves cover much of the forest floor—these “bush trees” have single-blocks of jungle wood for trunks, surrounded by oak leaves for foliage. When inside a jungle, the sky will become noticeably lighter.
This is the only biome containing ferns and the aforementioned jungle trees. Vines are found alongside most blocks and may be found close to the surface in caves. Ocelots, Jungle Temples and Cocoa Plants spawn exclusively in this biome, the latter found on jungle trees.
Iron Golems are large, strong utility mobs.
Their main purpose is to defend Villagers in NPC Villages from hostile mobs and siege attacks.
They will try to protect villagers from getting killed.
Ocelots are passive mobs that spawn in jungle biomes.
They are the second tameable mob to be introduced into Minecraft, the first being Wolves. They are based on the animal with same name. When tamed, they become cats, and will change skins.
Cats will follow the Player and will teleport if they are too far away.
Double Build Height

A Minecraft Redstone Lamp is a brownish (when off, and gold when on) block visually depicting Glowstone (due to its crafting materials) that provides light as long as it is turned on.
While powered, they have a luminance of fifteen, one level higher than a torch and the exact light level as glowstone. They need constant input in order to start lighting.
As the same to other light emitting blocks, they will melt ice and snow.
