Nokia Lumia 928 Android Concept – Nokia Could Go Full Out

[dropcap]W[/dropcap]hat would happen if Nokia reveals that the Nokia Lumia 928 was running stock Android?

Nokia Lumia 928 Android?

What would happen? Would it be a blow up in the mainstream world and be a hit? Would Nokia sales start to rise? Would Elop’s position be stable?

Or would it be a big time flop. Would people see it as Nokia trying to boat a ship that has sailed? Too late? And bye bye Elop?

It’s similar to Vlad Savov’s article some time back, but this would be a new launch and Nokia could go full out with marketing and advertisement.

After all, this device will have everything everyone has always wanted (That other OEMs have skimmed on)

PROS

  • Good design and build quality (S4 con)
  • Stock Android (Little to no bloatware, Sense & TouchWiz)
  • GREAT Camera (HTC One con; Pureview>UltraPixel)
  • Great Display

CONS

  • (If there are any, I fail to see them. It just doesn’t skimp on anything)
  • This phone will have more selling points than any phone out there and would be running the best OS (IMHO) out there. Not to hate on WP but the only selling points (thats different) there is the Modern UI. Its functionality (or lack there of) and learning curve is (IMHO, again) what’s holding Nokia from selling well.
  • Its funny. Such a different world it would be if Nokia use Android on the 928 and its takes just one decision.

Not exactly a Nokia 928 but an example of Android on Nokia.

I’ve been asking Nokia to do just that for years. But so far no uptake.

Nokia cant due this yet they have a partnership with Microsoft if they where to do it they would loss that partnership.Plus i agree with the reasons to go to windows phone. Its hard to differentiate in a market of 10+ android manufacturers.

    • Sudhakaran

And, what differentiates Nokia from other WP vendors ?

Nokia does not own WP. It is just one manufacturer for WP phones. The WP OS and its ecosystem are owned by MS.

Like Nokia, other vendors also produce WP phones. Since WP phones demand is less and they have to sell it for losses, no other vendor is coming forth to produce WP phones. Only Nokia can produce WP phones and sell them for losses just because a Microsoft person is controlling Nokia and he is busy exploiting entire Nokia just to sell some WP phones at any cost.

Nokia will be no more in a couple of years.

You the man! Keep up the hard work and telling truth my friend.

Android is by no means superior on WP8. Android still lags, thats “by design”. Project butter did make this better but its only hiding the real problems with Android. Put more Cores on a Phone and you can hide those problems. Thats not the way you build an SmartPhone OS. But things are getting better for Nokia. There was even a reviewer that said “Lumia 1020=new iPhone”.

Reviewers and Stockbrokers often have an Android or iPhone in their pocket and dont know anything about WP8. Thats scary because everybody is reading this crap and listens. The Nokia 925 does not come with wireless charging. The reviewing community is to blame for that because they say “The Lumia 920 is to heavy”. Put an wireless charger like Nokia on a GS4 and you get the same size as the 920.

Its like a Marathon, WP8 did start slowly and must come from behind. But the funny thing is that users of these phones are knowing more as “real reviewers”. You can see that because they give much higher rankings to Nokia as that the “real reviewers” do.

Some say the low rankings are given because Samdung and Apple give higher advertsing money to these sites. That can be a very logical explanation. The other explanation is that reviewers are so “biased” because they have a Android or iPhone and are to lazy to examine a Windows Phone thoroughly and then write a review. I let you the reader decide whats true :-)

You also got paid by Nokia/Microsoft to post positive review on an ugly and useless WP OS.

WP has been in the market for more than 4 years now and it still has mere 3% market-share at the cost of entire Nokia’s death.

Had Nokia went with both Android and WP like other OEMs, what would have been the market-share of WP now ? It would be a big egg ( zero ).

Nokia is getting completely exploited of its resources and making heavy losses just to increase market-share of WP at any cost. Nokia is losing money for every Lumia sold.

Even after selling head-quarter and other real-estates, getting $250 million from MS, firing tens of thousands of jobs, Nokia still makes loss every quarter. All this is because of useless WP OS.

Anyway, the whole world knows that Nokia can never produce rival Android phone as long as a Microsoft person is controlling it. That is very obvious.

Well it proofs something, that you dont know anything about Software Engineering. I was already programming while your where wearing dipers :-)

And you know even less my friend, I have talked to you before and all you know is a bit of c#……………..fucking idiot.

          • Stuart Fletcher

i had a nokia on wp7 and tbh once you get used to it its a great os. problem is there are so few major apps for it i found myself getting an android again as i wanted to be able to do more things. i aint a techy but inless more deveolpers work with wp it will die and take nokia with it

          • androidadvocateone

The other problem was that your WP7 could not upgrade to wp8.

      • androidadvocateone

I like your thinking buddy. Good reply. One correction: Nokia gets 1 billion dollars per year of free bribe money from microsoft to only use WP, not 250 million. Other than that I think what you wrote is highly accurate.

    • the slayer

the ONLY reason WP does not lag is because it does very little and cant multitask.PS What age are you ????? when you use the phrase Samdung the little bit of credibility you had goes out the window. You sound like a butt hurt fanboi

Here’s another thought: What if Windows Phone is the most customized version of android ever? The biggest lie in mobile devices. I know it’s not, but just a thought.

  • Sudhanandan

Trojan Elop and Android ? He will never allow. Nokia board also want to be killed rather than going for profit with Android. What a funny board !
