There were quite a lot of talks about Nokia Normandy in recent months. Nokia’s mobile phone division will enter the Microsoft portfolio in 2014 after receiving all necessary approvals in Europe and the U.S.
Nokia has built this phone before the transaction with Microsoft, when it became part of the Redmong group, and the first images of the phone showed a small device that looked like Asha line. The Android device will fight in the market of cheap devices.
Latest information on Nokia Normandy comes from the famous twitter account @evleaks. Normandy might be a study of the Finnish company to try to address the segment of Android phones. And now I think the chances of seeing such a smartphone to be released are quite good. The image brought to us by evleaks is observed the design which seems taken directly from the Nokia N9 and Lumia 800, the fact that is a dual-sim smartphone and powerful custom launcher of those from Nokia.
A test done with AnTuTu Benchmark reveals some of the phone specifications: 4-inch display with resolution of 480 × 854 pixels, Qualcomm quad-core on ARM Cortex-A5 or ARM Cortex-A7, 5 megapixel camera, Android 4.4.1 KitKat.
Interestingly is that is running on KitKat 4.4.1, the latest iteration of the mobile operating system powered by Google. The device development has just started and there is a small chance there for us to see it presented by Nokia.
